Hibiscus and geckos

Hi! Thanks for all your lovely comments on the photos of our vacation! Loved reading it all and my pleasure sharing! Today I have a card I made just before the vacation for my colleague, who had her birthday in the vacation. I still haven't crafted anything yet, just a bit too tired, I'm afraid, but I hope to soon! I received this cute little gecko image from Claire from Waltzing Mouse Stamps. She used it for testing and I think it's absolutely perfect!! I loooove geckos and this image is the best!! Hoi! Bedankt voor al jullie leuke reacties op m'n vakantiefoto's! Ik vond het super om alles te lezen en ik heb ze met veel plezier met jullie gedeeld! Vandaag heb ik een kaartje dat ik net voor de vakantie heb gemaakt, voor een collega die in de vakantie jarig was. Ik heb sinds thuiskomst nog altijd niets geknutseld... ben steeds veel te moe helaas, maar ik hoop snel weer! Ik heb deze lieve gekko gekregen van Claire van Waltzing Mouse Stamps. Zij gebruikte het voor testen en ik vind hem echt helemaal perfect! Ik ben gek op gekkos en deze afbeelding is geweldig, vind ik! California!!!

Hello my dearest bloggers!

Did you notice I wasn't around visiting your blogs as much as I used to? Well, that was because I was enjoying a fabulous vacation in the amazing California!! We were there from September 3 to 23 and we started in Las Vegas, then rented a car and traveled to Riverside, Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, Monterey, Yosemite, St Helena-Napa Valley, Tiburon and San Francisco! Oeh, we loved it all!! We had an amazing time, saw sooo many beautiful places, amazing views, lovely towns and lots of wildlife. In SF I met my creative friend Jen and together with Pim and Glen we had some delicious sushi and enjoyed an evening together. They took us on a lovely tour in the city. I have 'some' photos to share with you today, watch out, they are many and I already had so much difficulty choosing, hi hi. Hope you like seeing them. I'm now slowly recovering from a bad jetlag... oef... Haven't crafted again yet, but hope to find some inspiration again soon, so that next time I'll be here with a card again! Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments the past weeks! Loved it!!

Hallo lieve bloggers!

Hebben jullie gemerkt dat ik niet zo veel op jullie blogs kwam als anders? Nou, dat was omdat ik van een geweldige vakantie in Californië aan het genieten was! We waren daar van 3 t/m 23 september en we zijn gestart in Las Vegas, hebben toen een auto gehuurd en Riverside, Santa Barbara, Morro Bay, Monterey, Yosemite, St Helena-Napa Valley, Tiburon en San Francisco bezocht! Oeh, alles was helemaal super!! We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad, veel heel mooie plekjes gezien, geweldige uitzichten, leuke stadjes en heel veel dieren! In SF heb ik m'n creatieve vriendin Jen ontmoet en samen met Pim en Glen hebben we heerlijk sushi gegeten en genoten van een gezellige avond. Ze hebben ons ook nog een geweldige tour door de stad gegeven. Ik heb 'een paar' foto's met je te delen vandaag, pas op, het zijn er veel, en dan had ik zelfs nog erge moeite om te kiezen, hi hi. Ik hoop dat je het leuk vindt om ze te zien. Ik ben nu langzaam aan het herstellen van een zware jetlag... oef... dat hakt er in, zeg! Ik ben nog niet creatief bezig geweest, hopelijk komt dat snel weer en dan ben ik er de volgende keer weer met een kaartje! Bedankt voor al jullie leuke reacties de afgelopen weken! First class birthday mail

Hello! I have a question for you. Do you still send snailmails to people? I do! I have some penfriends, with whom I write handwritten letters and I love it! It's so special to receive an envelope in your mailbox with a letter that someone wrote for you. Don't get me wrong, I love emails as well, but a paper letter is so special! And what I also always love about that, is the stamps! They are sometimes true pieces of art! I keep them all and give them to my grandfather and he makes albums with them and he loves to do that, so that's just amazing! This card is dedicated to stamps! Love this set!! The card is inspired by Dawn. Curious what you think of it and curious of you still send a lot of snailmails! Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead!

Hallo! Ik heb een vraag voor je. Stuur je nog wel eens papieren post naar mensen? Ik wel! Ik heb een aantal penvriendinnen met wie ik handgeschreven brieven schrijf en dat is echt super! Het is zo bijzonder om een brief in je brievenbus te vinden waar iemand echt voor is gaan zitten om die naar je te schrijven. Ik vind emails ook helemaal super, maar een papieren brief is zo speciaal! En wat daar ook vaak leuk aan is, zijn de postzegels! Soms echte kunstwerkjes! Ik bewaar ze allemaal en geef ze aan m'n opa die ze afweekt en in een album doet, dat vindt hij heerlijk en dat is zo super! Deze kaart is gewijd aan stempels! Ik vind deze set echt super! De kaart is geïnspireerd door Dawn. Ben benieuwd wat je er van vindt en ook of je nog vaak echt post verstuurd! Ik wens je alvast een geweldig weekend!

Lucky to have you in my life

Hello! This message is for all of you, because I feel so lucky to have you all in my life! It makes this hobby so wonderful to do!! I always really enjoy all your comments! Thanks so much! The paper version of this card was sent to my parents-in-law, because of course we are also very happy to have them in our lives! :-D I love the medaillon I used for the background, though this was maybe not the best way to use this stamp... I wanted to create a sort of 'Delfts Blauw' look, but it did not completely turn out the way I planned. Do hope you like it still. Any ideas to make it better? All the best to you!

Hallo! Dit berichtje is voor jullie allemaal, omdat ik zo lucky ben jullie in mijn leven te hebben! Het maakt deze hobby zo geweldig! Ik geniet erg van al jullie reacties! Ontzettend bedankt!! De papieren versie van deze kaart is naar m'n schoonouders gegaan, want we zijn natuurlijk ook erg blij met hen in ons leven! :-D Ik vind deze medaillon zo ontzettend mooi, hoewel dit niet de beste manier was om hem te gebruiken... Ik wou een soort 'Delfts Blauwe' achtergrond maken, maar het lukte niet helemaal zoals ik had bedacht. Ik hoop dat je hem nog steeds wel leuk vindt. Nog ideeën om hem wat beter te maken?
